The Whale & Ale is the only Authentic British Restaurant in the South Bay of Los Angeles;
entirely oak-paneled, - it has a long oak bar with brass fittings and a balcony overlooking the grand piano lounge.

Artists are the core of Old Town in San Pedro. On the First Thursday evening each month, spend the evening in downtown San Pedro poking through the shops, visiting artists' galleries and running into old friends. Activities include: stores open late, street vendors and artisans, excellent food offerings from all the area restaurants most of which (including the Whale & Ale), offer free live music every First Thursday.
The art galleries of Downtown San Pedro present several showcases, featuring some of the brightest young artists as well as some of the most respected masters. Merchants and vendors are open late offering unique gift ideas for that special someone.
The Whale & Ale can be found in the fun area of San Pedro (the business/dining/art gallery district).
Its menu has grown to include many new dishes like, Beef Wellington in Périgourdine Sauce, Rosemary/Dijon baked rack of lamb, Salmon and grilled Swordfish.
